Dr. Jackie S Henderson
Born in Birmingham, Alabama. During her early childhood, Dr. Jackie developed a strong love for reading which soon led to a genuine interest in writing.
She serves
as Associate Minister at Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur,
Georgia. Upon retiring from Emory University
after seventeen years, she became owner of Your Family Research & Publishing and co-owner of
The Sunday School Doctors.
Her
education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia
State University, a MDiv degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory
University in Atlanta GA, and DMin degree from Jacksonville Theological
Seminary in Jacksonville FL.

Jackie’s books include: Growing
Up Underexposed: Lessons Learned from My Daddy; Running Away from Home: My Daddy to the Rescue; Grandma Said, But Now I Found Out ... Fifteen Tips for the Family History Genealogist; My New Role: Big Brother; and Family Memories Shared in Short Stories. She is the co-author of the book, Fulfillment Hour: Fulfilling God's Purposes
for the Church through the Sunday School Hour and Parables & Prescriptions to Grow a Health-Wise Sunday School. She published articles in the Baptist
History and Heritage Journal and in Baptists Today.
She
accepted the call into the ministry of God and was licensed to preach in 2009 and ordained in 2016..
Dr. Jackie married Chester Henderson in 1971 and they have two adult sons, Daryl and Mark
Henderson.
